The contractor, The Karson Konstruction will be undertaking Capital Project ISD14-7021 – 2014 Small Culvert Replacement – RVCA Jurisdiction. Notification signs will be posted. There will be a signed detour. Local and emergency vehicle access will be maintained. The impact to traffic will be low.

The Cumberland Community Association and many other organizations are hard at work planning an incredible day in Cumberland Village for you to celebrate the spirit of the season with step back in time…a festive afternoon Heritage Home & Village Tour, steeped in historical nostalgia. Peek inside several heritage homes and notable buildings in the village, stroll along the main street and enjoy carolers, and ride from one place to another on a horse drawn cart. Buy home made preserves, have a cup of hot cider or listen to piano played by a community member in the house she played in 50 years ago...these are just a few of the unique activities and specialities that will be entice you into the past and make you smile!
The Cumberland Farmers’ Market Book Sale held on June 28th and July 5th allowed us to support both the Kidney Foundation of Canada and The Kidney Research Center/Ottawa Hospital with a donation of $350. each thanks to the generous support of our community.
Our Market Café’s have raised a total of $1,379.68. These funds will be used by the market to cover expenses and invest in Café necessities.
AUGUST 23: Art in the Park- welcomes our local artists for “Art in the Park.”
Removal & replacement of the play structure in Wilfred Murray Park will finally begin on July 7th and will continue until the reopening in mid August. During this period the area around the play structure will be fenced off and no public access will be allowed. See the attached PDF for more details about the amazing new equipment that will be installed. The colours of the two main structures will be as shown. The independent features will have different colours. The structures offer numerous handicap accessible components.
