45 North Band

45 North Band

45north band is a 6-piece band - trumpet, sax, trombone, piano, bass and drums. We perform a varied repertoire of great instrumental jazz tunes, many by Canadian artists. Some of our arrangements are done by us, Jean Trudel has done many, or by others in some cases specifically for 45north. For Canada's 150th celebrations in 2017 we added a group of tunes to our repertoire that were non-jazz tunes but all by Canadians. We have now reverted back to our all jazz repertoire.

SUSAN ASHBROOK

SUSAN ASHBROOK

"For me the thrill of creating art is in the process! This is where the realization occurs… the progression of thought, the determination of the medium, the trial and error, the triumph of attainment… the lessons of failure. This is where I grow as an artist."
