Cumberland Heritage Museum - Heritage Power

Saturday, May 24, 2014 - 10:00am to 4:00pm

Presented by Vintage Iron Traditions of Eastern Ontario

What comes to mind when you think about power? Hydro? Horse power? What about steam, coal, wind, and diesel? We’ve lined up activities all day to engage your imagination about the history of power over time. Build a miniature wind turbine, compare historic and modern appliances, spend some time admiring vintage machinery, and use your very own manpower to plant a pumpkin to pick up later in the year. And if the weather holds true, the Ottawa Valley Live Steamers and Model Engineers will run their scale-model trains. Cost: Regular admission.

Bring the family, enjoy a day out in the historical Village of Cumberland.
