Economic Development Update and Discussion-Orleans Chamber of Commerce

  • Purpose of Meeting:

For various stakeholders in Orléans (e,g, City Councillors, MP, MPPs, BIA) to give a brief economic development update.

For the Chamber to connect with the business community, and community in general, to discuss what the Chamber is doing for economic development. As well as providing a forum for getting feedback on what the community envisions for economic development in Orléans and suggestions on how we are going to get there.

  • Overarching Goal:

To continue discussions to assist the Chamber/ the community in creating an action plan, general timeframes and follow up

  • Expectations:

This discussion forum will be focused on what we can do to achieve our vision, not what hasn't been done.

These types of Public Consultations will be hosted by the Chamber twice a year and are open to the public.



- 1st hour - Presentations by Key Stakeholders and Organizations (5-7 minute presentations)

- 2nd hour - Open Q and A and comments

The Orléans Chamber of Commerce consists of over 250 businesses, which includes representatives from all levels government, and believes in highlighting the positive attributes of our region in order to attract new investors in to Orléans.

The Orléans Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that provides a leadership role in promoting local businesses and providing advocacy for greater economic prosperity in the Orléans and its surrounding areas.
